On the Occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Late Manish R Dharwatkar (20-03-2017), Panjim Basketeers is happy to announce a Memorial Basketball Tournament in his name, which will be held in collaboration with the Goa Basketball Association. Late Manish Dharwatkar son of Goa’s foremost Table Tennis Champion Late Ramacanta V.P. Dharwatkar, was a Basketball Player of repute who captained Mala Basketballers and represented Goa Basketball Team at the Nationals. The Memorial tournament will be held on 17th to 19th April at the Don Bosco 
Oratory, Indoor Basketball court. Mr. Mahendra Dharwatkar, Manish Realtors, has instituted the Memorial cup in the fond memory of his late brother. This tournament is also considered as the State Junior Basketball Championship, and hence invites all Schools, Higher Secondaries, clubs and Institutions to participate to give the junior cagers a platform to be part of the State Team.
The State selection committee will select the final list of probables for the state Junior team to represent Goa at the 68th Junior National Basketball Championship for men and women to be held at the Gautam Budh Nagar District (UP) from 4th to 11th June 2017.
