Fr. Ralin Appointed Indian Team Manager for 13th SAG

The Indian Basketball Teams with their medals along with Fr. Ralin, the Manager of the Contingent.

In a letter from the Basketball Federation of India(14th Nov 2019), Fr. Ralin De Souza, Secretary of Goa Basketball Association was nominated as Team Manager for the Indian Contingent for 13th South Asian Games held in Kathmandu, held from 1st to 10th December 2019.

Fr. Ralin attended the preparatory camps held in Bengaluru for 10 days before he accompanied the teams for the South Asian Games. The teams were coached by VESELIN MATIC (Men’s Team) and ZORAN VISIC (Women’s Team) assisted by Coach Mohit Bhandari and Pradeep Tomar (men’s) and Puvvula Bhargava Srinath and Satybrata Nayak (Women’s). This was a momentous moment for the Indian contingent as all four Indian Basketball teams received Gold Medals: Men and Women 5×5 as well as Men and Women 3×3.

This was a great moment of honour and appreciation for Goa, to have one of its members to be part of the Indian Basketball Contingent as it earned four gold medals at the games.
