We are GOABASKETBALL

The Goa Basketball Association is now going through a sea change of transformation to ensure that we have a good active season on the Basketball Court. We do believe that playing basketball is not just a one day – one match affair! We need to be on court continuously and learn the discipline on court that will build our lives and character and worthy men/women on society.

Hence, GBA has begun the process of transformation and would wish to have the support of all like minded  players to join us in our venture. The more transparent and strong we build our network, the faster and better we will be able to coordinate the various activities. We hope to have each player/Club performance on line, so we can have more tournaments and activities to boost ourselves. After the recognition of the Basketball Federation of India by Indian Olympic Association and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Goa Olympic Association recognition was another major boost. The SAG formalities are also underway. This means that what we have been doing all along, we will do it with even more dedication, and we hope that those seriously interested in the sport will be bold enough to step up and assist the change!

So henceforth, www.gbaonline.in will change its name to www.goabasketball.com!! All official information and details will be accessible on this site – the official Goa Basketball Association Portal.

Thanks to the vision and foresight of the newly elected GBA President, Shri Girish Lotlikar, basketball in Goa is set to spring forth to new heights. The collaboration with ‘Sports for the World’ NGO from Spain has come has a big blessing and is surely set the change a lot, the way basketball will be played here in Goa.

GBA wishes to thanks all its 537 Players, 22 Clubs, 37 Teams, 128 Members who have been instrumental to make the changes, despite the challenges and upheavels we had to face in the past few decades!
