The time is right for the young cagers to prove their prowess in the battle on court for the schools in the first GBA School League 2018. With the growing interest in Goa for Basketball, the GBA has launched the league under the aegis of the Basketball Federation of India.

The league is slated to begin in mid-April 2018. With the Junior Nationals round the corner, the event will take a break after the first round of games. The second and the final round of games will begin in June 2018. There will be 16 Boy and 8 Girl Schools in the fray equally distributed over the north and south districts of Goa.

As in any league, there will be ample opportunities to compete every other team in the pool. The winning teams will receive cash prizes of INR 25,000/- (1st Place), INR 15,000/- (2nd Place) and INR 10,000/- (3rd Place). The league matches will be held in North and South Goa and the final round matches will be held in DBO Indoor hall, Panjim.

Interested schools are expected to download the forms and submit their completed entry to the GBA office. The online registrations will then have to be done before the 2nd of April 2018.

GBA is proud to assist any of the interested schools with a systematic training and coaching program for the benefit of the children.
