GBA SELECTION TRIALS FOR 2018
The Goa Basketball Association has initiated a new Selection cum training program for all its age category teams for the year 2018. An Open Selection Trials for all age categories will be held in different parts of the state, and the selected probable candidates will undergo a year long weekend training camp that will prepare them for the National championships.
The Open Selection Camps will be held in the following manner:
16th Feb 2018 at Don Bosco Fatorda 4.30PM onwards.
17th Feb 2018 at Mahalaxmi High School, Ponda, at 4.30PM
19th Feb 2018 at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim from 5.00PM onwards,
20th Feb 2018 at Porvorim Basketball Court from 4.30PM and
23rd Feb 2018 at Lourdes convent High School, Saligao from 4.00PM onwards.
Selections to all age categories Junior (01.01.2000), Youth (01.01.2002) and Sub-Junior (01.01.2004) will be done at the above mentioned venues and time. The main coordinator for the Selection Process is Mr. Shane Dias (Chairman Selection Committee), and will be further conducted by Royston Costa (Fatorda – 9822124349), Luis Gomes (Ponda – 9822435004), Shane Dias (Panjim – 9881200222), Johan Braganca (Porvorim – 9764221739) and Helena Pinto (Saligao – 9373367234). Those interested can report to either one of the venues of their convenience. The selected members will be directed to attend the regular weekend training camps that will be conducted till the National Camp preparations begin.
